This site is a hub for a roleplay gaming community set in the windblown sands of the desert. Inspiration for the setting is drawn from the Gor series of novels by John Norman. The 10th - Tribesman of Gor - deals with the 'Tahari' - a vast desert reminiscent of the middle Eastern cultures.
But we are not on Earth. We are on a wold that is 'counter Earth' - where peoples of many cultures were brought to live as strong men and alluring women. Technology is limited to keep people from the woes that have befallen Earth itself.
To bring our imagination we blend fantasy literature with historical research. Think of it as fan fiction. But we go a step further as we create visuals in virtual world platforms such as Linden Lab's Second Life.
So if roleplay games, fantasy genres, 50 shades of grey, and computer games, historical simulation don't drive you away, then read on.
One thing this is NOT is intended to offend real cultures and people of any region or religion. We find greater appreciation in their diversity as we research ancient cultures to inspire our own art and narrative. Though our hobby describes battle and conflict, we want people safe and sound behind their computer.
Also, like any online site, be careful about sharing your private information. This includes your name, e-mail, birthday, and where you live. But don't worry - as we campaign together we often make close friendships over the years.
